  • 1 bag tortilla scoop chips
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1/2 cup cheddar cheese, shredded
  • 1/4 cup scallions, chopped

Directions:

For the Chili

  1. Heat the olive oil in a Dutch oven over medium-high heat until just smoking.
  2. Add the onion and sweet potato and cover with the lid. Cook until vegetables are softened.
  3. Grind the 1/2 teaspoon of pepper with a FinaMill Pepper Pod and stir in tomato paste, garlic, ground cumin, chili flakes, and oregano.
  4. Add the ground turkey, breaking it up with a wooden spoon, and cook until lightly browned.
  5. Stir in the crushed tomatoes, black beans, kidney beans, and water.
  6. Allow the chili to simmer uncovered until thickened (about 40 minutes). Season with fresh ground salt and pepper.

For the Bites

  1. Fill tortilla scoops with the finished turkey chili.
  2. Top each scoop with a dollop of sour cream.
  3. Sprinkle with scallions and shredded cheddar cheese. Serve immediately!
